These handbooks offer a unique computation method, which makes math a visual, rather than abstract, process. The key is recognizing visual patterns that exist between numbers when they are arranged in global "wholes." These visual patterns provide multiple pathways for comprehension and recall. This method works with all children and is especially suited for kids who don't learn well with traditional teaching techniques. This process encourages children to be in charge of their own learning and minimizes math anxiety.
