Mathematical Modelling in Non-destructive Testing

The material presented in this volume addresses the use of mathematics in the non-destructive testing of industrial components. NDT has gained increasing importance due to the demand for a high level of safety in manufacturing plant and products. The NDT community recognizes that mathematical modelling can play a vital role in developing techniques for this purpose, one that complements the traditional experimental research in developing, validating, and improving inspection procedures.
