Synopsis
Die Autoren geben eine Einführung in die Strömungsdynamik anhand von mathematischen Modellen und der theoretischen Abhandlung der zugrundeliegenden physikalischen Gesetze und erläutern die effektive Nutzung von numerischen Prozessen. Dieses Buch richtet sich gleichermassen an Studenten und Fachleute, die physikalische Strömungen anhand von theoretischen und rechnerischen Modellen kontrollieren bzw. vorhersehen möchten.
Das Buch ist in drei Teile gegliedert:
- Entwicklung von mathematischen Modellen der Strömungsdynamik;
- Theoretische Abhandlung der dargestellten Gleichungen wie Navier-Stokes eq., Euler eq., boundary layer eq., Turbulenzmodelle, um sowohl qualitative als auch quantitative Einblicke in die Prozesse der Strömungen zu erhalten;
- Konstruktion und effektiver Einsatz numerischer Prozesse zur quantitativen Beschreibung von wichtigen physikalischen, oder praxisnahen technischen Strömungssituationen.

Rainer Ansorge studied Mathematics and Physics at the Free University and Technical University (TU) of Berlin, Germany. After positions as computational engineer at the Volkswagen Company (1956) he became Full Professor of Mathematics at the University of Hamburg, Germany (1969). He was one of the founders of the TU Hamburg-Harburg (1974-1986) and his scientific research activities are covering more than 20 countries. Prof. Ansorge is member of the European Academy of Sciences and Arts, of the New York Academy of Sciences and the GAMM.
