Mathematics, Volumes 1 & 2 (Basic Navy Training Courses)

Original 1949 two-volume set of Mathematics from the U.S. Navy's Basic Navy Training Courses, prepared by the Bureau of Naval Personnel. Issued for instructional use during the post-World War II period, these manuals present a structured mathematics curriculum designed for naval personnel, progressing from fundamental arithmetic and geometry in Volume 1 to algebra, trigonometry, logarithms, and applied mathematical reasoning in Volume 2. Both volumes retain their original softcover wrappers marked "For Official Use Only," with intact bindings and clean, readable interiors. Wear consistent with age and training use is present, but the set remains solid and complete. A desirable matched pair for collectors of military manuals, Cold War-era training materials, or vintage STEM education resources.
