About the Author

J. G. Matheny draws from real life to captivate her readers with intriguing story lines, realistic characters and humor. A former journalist and FBI Agent, her first two mystery novels in the Samantha Wilde FBI series drew from her knowledge of bombs, task forces and financial crime. Her middle-grade novel, THE PRINCESS IN MY HEAD, was developed for her daughter to explore resources for problem solving. Her current ventures include an 1892 historical fiction where existing technology and forensic investigation combine to solve a mystery on a west bound train. Matheny lives with her family in Castle Rock, CO. She holds a Bachelor Degree in Journalism from the University of Wyoming, and a Master Degree in Journalism from New York University.  She is currently President for Wyoming Writers, Inc. and a member of Rocky Mountain Fiction Writers. She still works as a financial crimes investigator.
