A lovely work of British topography, exploring the city of Bristol in the South West of England. Seventh edition. A charming guide to the city of Bristol in the first half of the 19th century, exploring the history of the city, its public and private buildings and local landmarks, and neighbourhoods. Illustrated with two folding plates, with additional illustrated plates. Includes three newspaper cuttings also relating to the city of Bristol referencing different local landmarks. Dated using COPAC. No collation available, but appears to be complete. In a full cloth binding. Externally, sound. Light bumping to the head and tail of the spine, and also to the extremities. There light sunning to the spine, with some minor loss to the spine label. Rubbing to the joints and the board. The odd mark to the boards. Offsetting to the front and rear pastedowns and endpapers. Front and rear hinges are tender but firm. Internally generally firmly bound. Pages are generally clean. Minor offsetting to pages 226/7 caused by the newspaper cuttings, with very light agetoning throughout. Folding plate to the reverse of the title page is detached but present. Good.
