The Mating Market: When Love Becomes a Transaction

Is modern romance really about finding a soulmate, or has it become a high-stakes marketplace? "The Mating Market" is a provocative and unflinching look at dating, sex, and love, reframing it as a complex system of economics where love itself has become a transaction.

Author Jerome Ellis dissects the modern mating game, exploring the "assets" (like looks, status, and money) and "liabilities" (like baggage and red flags) that determine your sexual market value. The book examines the new "marketplaces"—from dating apps to social media—and how they’ve changed the rules of supply and demand.

This guide explores how relationships, sex, and commitment are now treated as "transactions", why so many people are "manipulating" their value, and why the market seems to be "crashing" for so many. It's a controversial and eye-opening guide to the economics of love, forcing you to question if genuine connection is possible when everyone is just trying to get the best deal.
