As a Matter of Effect

They built a miracle. Now they’re prisoners of it.

After a decade of relentless work, Tericia and Lester have achieved the impossible: a device capable of opening stable wormholes—an invention that could revolutionize space travel and reshape the future of humanity. But their victory is short-lived.

Imprisoned by the very corporation that funded them, surrounded by armed guards and stripped of their team, the two scientists are forced to complete their work under the threat of violence—and worse. As they edge closer to unlocking the final secrets of wormhole travel, they uncover a terrifying truth: success means handing absolute power to the worst kind of people.

Hounded by a sadistic overseer, manipulated by a corporation with global ambitions, and betrayed by a newcomer with secrets of his own, Tericia and Lester must decide: finish the job and doom the future—or destroy everything they’ve built to save it.

As a Matter of Effect is a gripping sci-fi thriller about the cost of invention, the abuse of power, and what it means to resist when you're the last line of defense between hope and control.
