A Matter of Time (Paperback or Softback)

Peter Collins vanished without a trace on September 5, 2001, six days before 9/11.
No body. No evidence. No explanation. Just a man who walked into his office parking garage on Essex Street, New York, and never came out.
Peter Collins had everything: a loving family, a thriving security business, and a life built on loyalty and hard work. A Gulf War veteran and former Marine, he was the last man anyone expected to disappear. And yet he did, leaving behind a wife who adored him, three children who needed him, and a mystery that the NYPD and FBI spent over a thousand hours trying to solve.
The world moved on. His wife, Marie, had him declared legally dead in 2016, and with the absence of a body, a plaque of remembrance was placed at Young's Cemetery in his home town of Oyster Bay, New York.
Until September 5, 2021. Exactly twenty years later, Peter Collins steps back into New York. Unchanged. Unaged. And utterly alone.
He has no phone, no money, no ID. Marie has remarried. His daughter Ashley is grown. And his twin sons never made it out of the towers. His only salvation is a woman called Heather Lombard, a stranger who becomes his only lifeline.
But Peter isn't the only one who knows he's back. NSA Special Agent Doug McLean wants to find him and the CIA wants him silenced. Peter is caught between them, in a deadly game of cat and mouse with no side he can fully trust.
Peter Collins didn't survive Iraq to be taken quietly. And he carries something no one else on earth possesses: he has seen what is coming, and he knows how it ends.
It's all a Matter of Time
A gripping time-travel thriller of loss, conspiracy and redemption. For fans of Harlan Coben, James Patterson, and Stephen King's 11/22/63.
