Max & Bo: Two Dogs On The Go

Young children will meet Max and Bo, two fun-looving dogs that like to celebrate the holidays including New Year's Eve, Valentine's Day, July 4th, Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas. Young kids will enjoy seeing the illustrations of the dogs in their different hats, ties an costumes. This is a delightful book with rhymes on every page to engage younsters. At the end of the book are JUST FOR FUN facts to engage the kids even further.

But, it is not all fun and games for Max and Bo. At the end of the book, they turn to a serious subject - the COVID-19 pandemic.

LoLo Smith is an educator, writer and creator of Living Storybook, a literacy and performing arts program for young children. She is also the founder of a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization, Do The Write Thing of DC. She has written 8 books for children. She was born and raised in St. Louis and earned her Bachelor's at a local teacher's college there. She moved to the District of Columbia over 40 years ago. She has one adult son who is also an educator and writer.

TaVaughn D. Norde' is a 16-year-old artist. He was born in the District of Columbia and has always attended public schools including Tyler Elementary, Kramer Middle School and Woodson Senior High School. In addition to art, he likes sports, especially football and swimming, dancing, listening to rap and hip-hop music and socializing with his friends via social media. He lives in the District with his mother and younger sister, Ghada.
