Maylie's Luck of the Irish

Will fear and unhappiness sink Maylie’s trip to Ireland?

After nearly getting sent home for her story of revenge against her twin brother, Maylie is determined to not put a toe out of line.

When her worst fear surfaces and results in a horrible mess, her bad mood spirals further downhill as the expected vibrant green countryside ends up only gray, rainy, and dull. Between the weather and her frown, is there anything to raise Maylie’s spirits?

Enter a mysterious old man, new friends, her next story, and the musical heart of the Emerald Isle - which just might be enough magic to bring Maylie back her smile, overcome her fear, and offer some fun along the way.

“Maylie and the Maze has all the components you would want in a children's novel. Relatable characters, adventure, friendships, and a touch of geography embedded throughout. This book was well written with each chapter flowing to the next with ease, making it such a fun read. As an educator, I feel this would be a great read-aloud in my classroom!” - elementary educator Erin Masters M.Ed

"Maylie and the Maze was a book I thoroughly enjoyed reading as a parent, reader, and educator. I loved that it promoted so many positive lessons of character and knowledge without my child even realizing it! As an educator for the past 20 years, I would highly recommend this book to young readers who are ready to make the journey from easy reading chapter books to something with more interest and substance." - elementary librarian Jennifer Benandi
