He has been editor of Mayo Clinic Cardiology from its inception and is author of over 150 peer-reviewed journal articles and nearly 100 book chapters.

Nandan S. Anavekar, M.B., B.Ch, is a Professor of Medicine and a consultant in the Cardiovascular Department and Radiology Department at Mayo Clinic. His main clinical interest is the management of diseases of the pericardium, diseases of the aorta cardiac infections, as well as critical care cardiology. He is author of over 200 journal publications.
