A Meal For The Road

When you come to his table, Jesus wants it to be a time for positive change, as it was for Zacchaeus, hopefully for the Pharisee and for the disciples. This is where the food is. This is the gate of heaven. Sense his presence here, respond to it in your hungry heart, and you may be changed too.
-- from a Pentecost season sermon

Charles E. Link offers 14 sermons on communion themes. Each includes a list of helpful discussion questions for an after church or mid-week discussion time. These sermons explore the little-known aspects of the Lord's Supper: Who was there? What did they sing? What prayers were offered? What was their mood and how was it changed?

Sermons cover the following seasons or special days: Advent, Christmas, Epiphany, world-wide communion Sunday, Ash Wednesday, Lent, Maundy Thursday, Easter season, Pentecost season, Thanksgiving, first communion, and confirmation.

Charles E. Link, Rancho Cordova, California, has served as pastor and interim pastor at several churches in California. He holds a master's of divinity degree from San Francisco Theological Seminary, and doctor of religion degree from The School of Theology, Claremont.
