Compelling and intelligent, Brigid Marlin’s poignant and engaging book is the story of both her son’s lifelong struggles with Asperger’s syndrome, depression and isolation, and her own struggles as a mother, trying to help her son and make sense of his suffering.

About the Author
Brigid Marlin was born in Washington, DC but has spent most of her life in England, where she now resides. She is known primarily as an artist, and is the Founder and Director of the Society for Art of Imagination, which has members from all over the world. She studied art in Dublin, Paris, New York, and in Vienna, where she learned the Mische technique, a process of painting which was the secret method of the Italian Renaissance painters, and revived after painstaking research by Professor Ernst Fuchs.
