The editors, professors at the Associated Mennonite Biblical Seminaries, briefly discuss the background and development of the ongoing debate about these words' meanings. They have selected articles to show the divergent methods and emphases of scholars with various opinions on the question. They also provide introductory essays to the book's Old and New Testament sections and a complete bibliography. Although aimed at scholars in the field, this is not totally beyond the well-informed reader. It presents some excellent material never before available in English. Recommended especially for academic libraries.
