The Measurement of Airflow. This item is unavailable. The Measurement of Airflow

"The Measurement of Airflow" is a foundational technical treatise written by E. Ower, focusing on the principles and practical methods used to determine the velocity and pressure of moving air. Written during a period of significant advancement in aeronautical and mechanical engineering, this work serves as an essential guide for professionals and students interested in fluid mechanics and aerodynamics.

The text explores various instruments and techniques, including the use of pitot-static tubes, anemometers, and manometers. Ower provides detailed explanations of the mathematical theories underlying these measurements, ensuring that readers understand both the theoretical and practical aspects of airflow analysis. From laboratory experiments to industrial applications, the book covers a broad spectrum of scenarios where precise air measurement is critical.

This work remains a significant historical contribution to the field of engineering, offering clear insights into the development of measurement standards that continue to influence modern practices. Its rigorous approach to technical accuracy and clear exposition makes "The Measurement of Airflow" a valuable resource for those studying the history of science and the evolution of mechanical instrumentation.
