Mechanical Integrators: Including The Various Forms Of Planimeters (1886)

Mechanical Integrators: Including The Various Forms Of Planimeters (1886) is a book written by Henry Selby Hele Shaw. The book provides a comprehensive overview of mechanical integrators and planimeters, including their history, design, and application. Mechanical integrators are devices used to perform mathematical integration, which is the process of finding the area under a curve. Planimeters, on the other hand, are instruments used to measure the area of irregular shapes. In this book, Shaw discusses the different types of mechanical integrators and planimeters, including their uses in various fields such as surveying, engineering, and mathematics. He also provides detailed descriptions of the mechanisms and operations of these devices, as well as their advantages and limitations. This book is a valuable resource for anyone interested in the history and development of mechanical integrators and planimeters, as well as their practical applications. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
