The Proceedings volume of the 1st IFAC Conference on Mechatronic Systems consists of 3 plenary lectures, 148 paper presentations, 29 poster presentations and 3 discussion sessions.


The goal of the conference was to bring together experts from different areas to give an overview of the state-of-the-art and to present new research results and perspectives of the future development in this interdisciplinary field of mechatronic systems. Based on 8000 printed call for papers and invited papers 241 contributions were obtained and 197 contributions were selected from 27 countries.


The Proceedings volume is grouped into topics as follows: Plenary Papers, Mechatronic Systems, Mechatronic Components, Robots and Walking Machines, Design of Mechatronic Systems, Automatic Control of Mechatronic Systems, General Mechatronic Issues and Summaries of the Conference.
