It explores the issues concerning women, gender, Dalits, Muslims, Tribals, LGBTQIA+ individuals, and communities such as the Khasi, Bifran, and other ethnic and religious minorities from a marginal perspective, enriching media scholarship with an interdisciplinary approach. Drawing insights from political science, economics, sociology, cultural studies, social psychology, women's studies, history, and anthropology, the chapters engage with contemporary literature and debates. It features contributions from eminent academicians and scholars to help bridge theoretical frameworks with real-world media practices. The book will serve as a valuable resource for undergraduate, postgraduate, doctoral, and postdoctoral research. It also aligns with modern curricula in media and cultural studies making it essential for students, researchers, and scholars seeking a deeper understanding of media's role in shaping marginalized narratives.
