Bound in black cloth with gilt title on the spine. Emil Brunner (1889?1966) was a prominent Swiss Reformed theologian and a central figure in the Neo-orthodox (or dialectical) theology movement. Along with Karl Barth, he sought to move Protestant theology away from 19th-century liberalism toward a focus on the "sheer Godness of God" and the necessity of divine revelation. 624pp. Black dustjacket with white and yellow text in a mylar cover.CONDITION: Covers have light shelf wear. Inside the front cover is an attractive pre-printed book plate with no hand writing. Pages are crisp and clean. Binding and text block are square and sound. Dustjacket has moderate rubbing and edge wear. Mylar cover is lightly rubbed otherwise fine. Full refund if not satisfied.
