Hardcover, bound in tan top-grain cowhide with all edges gilt, raised spine lettered in gold and covers brass die-stamped in 22kt gold. 246 pages. Additional refinements include bound in silk ribbon marker and specially commissioned marbled end-papers designed by Richard J. Wolfe. This special limited facsimile was prepared from an original 1803 edition furnished to the Publisher courtesy of the Yale Medical Library. First edition thus. Original subscriber's personalized book-plate, from the Publisher, unused and laid-in loose, indicating this is copy 921. A clean, unread and pristine copy; gift quality and like new.
