Early printings of this massive scholarly work. Volume One 482 pp; Volume Two 499 pp. Includes a list of monuments and bibliographies. Illustrated with glossy black and white photographs. Red cloth bindings with gilt design. Volume one in very good condition. Volume two has some soiling to front cover and a chip missing from the edge of the front board. Despite these flaws, a very acceptable and useful copy. Books still tightly bound. Prior ownership name of P. F. Norton, former professor of architecture at UMASS. Seller Inventory # 009594
