About the Author

Judith D. Klingsick has cultivated her interest in Japanese gardens through travel, formal classes, independent study and hands-on experience as a gardener's aide and interpretive guide at the Como Ordway Memorial Japanese Garden in St. Paul, Minnesota. The author recently concluded an eighteen-year career as a college professor, achieving awards and honors for her excellence in teaching. She now serves as a Master Gardener with Ramsey County, Minnesota, and pursues professional and artistic interests in writing, photography, bookbinding and the book arts. Her home is in River Falls, Wisconsin.
