This is the first volume of three designed to supplement the catalogs of medieval literary manuscripts and service books written in Latin and the vernaculars of Western Europe. These manuscripts belong to institutions in Britain, excluding the British Library, the Bodleian Library, and the Cambridge University Library. The first volume provides information on nearly 700 manuscripts housed in 43 institutions in London.
