Meditation: Meeting the Eternal Within

In this timeless book, Ravi lovingly explores the sublime art of meditation through words which reflect meditation’s simplicity yet retain its inherent mystery. It spreads the fragrant wisdom born out of his deep meditative silence.

Along with the subject of meditation, this book uniquely explores aspects of human life like Relationship, Desire, Purpose, Solitude, Death, etc; which are necessary to be understood for meditation to bloom. It also includes three parables and one short story; the story offers a delightful insight into the mysterious exchange which takes place between a master and a disciple.

A few quotes from the book:

"Once meditation gains flow, your very energy will be your armor."

"Life respects the traveler and forgets the one who thinks he has reached."

"Relationship is a beautiful dream moving towards reality."

"Greed is nothing but one extreme on the axis of desire and fear is the opposite extreme. At the centre of this axis, there is pure joy."

"A meditative person flows through his relationships like wind through a forest. The wind touches each and every leaf in the dense forest but does not belong anywhere."

It was the awe and mystery of death that introduced Ravi to meditation at the age of seventeen. The next fourteen years, he learnt from numerous teachers but could not yet receive what his spirit was yearning for. As advised by his last master, Ravi traveled for many seasons near the Himalayas and the Ganges, working towards the mysterious to take over.

He was staying near the humble river Isar in Munich when the understanding of the unknown began to grow. One year went by, the arrow of Truth kept piercing deeper and he realized that 'this penetration is infinite'. He shared his realization and understanding with seekers from different parts of the world; always as a friend.

All spiritual literature worthy of its name is the song emerging when the human dissolves into the divine. The words in the book 'Meditation: Meeting the eternal within' are the echoes of the moments, when the individual in him was a mere reed in the hands of the infinite...
