Meditations On The Sacred Heart: Commentary And Meditations On The Devotion Of The First Fridays, The Apostleship Of Prayer, The Holy Hour (1913)

Meditations On The Sacred Heart is a book written by Joseph McDonnell in 1913. The book provides commentary and meditations on the devotion of the First Fridays, the Apostleship of Prayer, and the Holy Hour. The Sacred Heart is a symbol of Jesus Christ's love for humanity, and the devotion of the First Fridays encourages Catholics to attend Mass and receive Holy Communion on the first Friday of every month. The Apostleship of Prayer is a Catholic organization that encourages prayer for the intentions of the Pope and the Church. The Holy Hour is a period of prayer and meditation on the Passion of Christ, traditionally held on Thursday evenings. McDonnell's book offers readers a deeper understanding of these devotions and how they can bring them closer to God. The meditations are designed to help readers reflect on the love of Christ and how they can live more fully in His presence. Overall, Meditations On The Sacred Heart is a valuable resource for Catholics seeking to deepen their faith and grow closer to God.This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
