About the Author

With courage and humor, Jeannine recounts her life as a young French woman who joined the French Resistance in World War II. She came to America as a war bride and endured heart-wrenching cruelties at the whims of her new mother-in-law. She became the mother of seven children, and a world traveler who settled in the unlikeliest of places: Las Vegas, Nevada. Working with freelance writers Barbara Hudson and Terrisa Meeks, Jeannine has told her story, Memoir of a French War Bride. Jeannine, now a 79-year-old great-grandmother, is a compelling woman.
