""A Memoir Of Major-General R. R. Gillespie"" is a book written by Robert Rollo Gillespie himself in 1816. It is a personal account of his life and military career, from his early years to his service in India as a major-general. Gillespie describes his experiences in battles and campaigns, including the capture of Seringapatam and the siege of Bhurtpore. He also shares his views on the military tactics and strategies employed during his time, as well as his opinions on the political situation in India. The book provides a valuable insight into the life of a British soldier during the early 19th century and the challenges they faced in serving the British Empire. It is a must-read for anyone interested in military history or the history of British India. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations. Because we believe this work is culturally important, we have made it available as part of our commitment for protecting, preserving, and promoting the world's literature in affordable, high quality, modern editions, that are true to their original work.
