Memoirs of the Comte Alexandre de Tilly

A firsthand account of aristocratic life before, during, and after the French Revolution, this memoir chronicles the extravagant, scandalous, and ultimately tragic journey of a French nobleman. From Versailles to exile, the Comte de Tilly details court intrigue, duels, romances, and shifting political tides with wit and unflinching candor. His reflections illuminate the downfall of the ancien régime and offer a rare, intimate glimpse into a vanished world of privilege and peril.
