Small tear to binding at bottom of spine along rear board. Hinges remain in good condition and text block is bound well. Light marginalia and markings at front of book. General age-related toning to pages, along with periodic foxing and wear. Please see photographs and ask any questions prior to purchasing. A scarce later printing on the parents and lineage of Mary Leadbeater (1758 1826), an Irish writer and historian. Part of the influential Shakleton family, Mary s grandfather was Abraham Shackleton (1696-1771), the schoolmaster of Edmund Burke, along with distant relative and polar explorer Ernest Shackleton (1874-1922).
