The Memorial Window: Or, Short Discourses On The Concluding Scenes Of Our Saviour's Life Upon Earth, Depicted In The Chancel Window. In The Parish Church Of St. Michael's, Bray, Berks by George Wellford. This volume collects a set of short, practical sermons by Rev. G. Wellford, M.A., late curate of Bray, grounded in the memorial window at the parish church. Comprising discourses on the principal scenes of Christ's final hours—Judas' betrayal, Jesus washing the disciples' feet, the institution of the Lord's Supper, the agony in Gethsemane, the arrest, trials before Caiaphas and Pilate, the crucifixion, the burial, the resurrection, and the post-resurrection commission—the book aims to illustrate gospel truth and the gospel of the grace of God through accessible, exhortative commentary. It reflects on humility, love, repentance, and steadfast faith, offering pastoral reflections for former Bray parishioners and readers seeking spiritual guidance from the scenes depicted in the window.
