Memories of Discernment: A Collection of Flash and Short Stories

This collection gathers fifteen stories about people on the edge: a racer wins the biggest day of his life while losing the thing he wanted most; a gun runner pursues a creature that may not exist in an African swamp; a man declares his love for the moon at a gas station; a couple finds a dead mermaid on the side of a highway; a pregnant woman must decide what it means to protect a child in a back alley; a man keeps the woman he loves locked in a shed; a dancer believes she is time traveling to the morning of September eleventh.

Written with sharp emotional precision, dark humor, psychological horror, and a haunting tenderness for the brokenhearted, these stories move through obsession, belief, violence, and grace, often arriving sideways or too late to be recognized.
