In Memory of the Grumpy Old Man: A Political Point of View From a Very Common Person

The Grumpy Old Man is, in a sense, a very real person. There comes a point in time when one gets tired of hearing people going off half cock about issues they didn't take the time to research nor put any intelligent thought into them. What the Grumpy Old Man is about is conveying a sensible point of view about the local, national, and world issues that mostly everyone seems so concerned about. In a sense, it is a common-sense look at history and why the world is the way it is and what it would take to change it for the better.

I have lived in New England for most of my life and have traveled around parts of the world many times. I've been writing stories for over two decades. During late winter I have some free time to write, so I write about things I find interesting, tapping into my life experiences to convey my thoughts into words. I have lived, at most times, a very rough life. I was taught by my parents to be polite, honest, and outspoken. I usually root for the underdog and have a tendency to seek a more level playing field. Sometimes it gets me into trouble, and sometimes not, but that is how life is anyway, and so that is how I live my life.
