In Memory Of

In Memory Of was written out of a strange necessity to document the world before time can erase or alter it. For a teenager today, there is really no separation between massive global events and private life. We carry the weight of world issues and personal anxiety simultaneously during some of our most developmental years. This book is an attempt to capture that reality in words, serving as a sort of unfiltered record of what it means to grow up in the twenty-first century.

The seven sections of the book reflect the fragmented way we process our surroundings, moving from large-scale global issues to intimate portraits of people, and finally into the quiet spaces of memories and dreams. The writing process itself was an exercise in breaking down the overwhelming noise of modern life and stitching it back together into a structure that makes sense. By presenting these thoughts without pretense, In Memory Of offers a raw, reflective look at modern youth, inviting readers to examine their own lived experiences and fears through a shared mirror.
