Typeset by Victor Hammer in his iconic American Uncial type and printed by Carolyn Hammer at their Stamperia del Santuccio, one of several presses the Hammers operated from the 1930s to 1970s. No. 49 of 252 copies on Japanese Honsho paper. Dustjacket printed with a woodcut by Victor Hammer from the front wall of the chapel in Holbsheim in the Alsace (also as the frontispiece). The boards are covered using unused sheets from Opus XIII (i.e., an edition of this work the Hammers produced a year earlier that was printed in red and black and with two-color initials). Very good copy overall; evidence of a small bookplate removal from front blank; minor spots of foxing at top of textblock; cover edges a touch toned; near fine dustjacket with a trace of dustiness.
