Raw. Spiritual. Unfiltered. MERCY is a collection of poetry that looks directly at the wounds people carry—and the choices that can either deepen those wounds or begin to heal them.

Jerome Jackson writes across faith, love, family, incarceration, racism, temptation, social injustice, personal responsibility, grief, and redemption. These poems move between the deeply personal and the broadly social, asking difficult questions about identity, freedom, suffering, accountability, and the condition of the human heart.

The collection culminates in SCHEME, a seven-part epic composition that examines the forces that divide, distract, exploit, and challenge humanity—from politics and media to addiction, violence, greed, family breakdown, and spiritual disconnection.

MERCY does not offer easy answers. It offers testimony, reflection, warning, faith, and hope. For readers drawn to poetry with a strong spiritual voice and an unflinching concern for social struggle, this book is an invitation to look inward, confront what hurts, and consider what healing might require.
