The papers are full of dire reports concerning America's youth and their level of geographic savvy. Having a big, beautiful atlas at home is great, but how often do the kids pore over the home reference shelf? The Notebook Atlas is three-hole punched for easy notebook insertion, and for a thin, light volume it's very complete, with 48 full-color maps and charts of the longitude and latitude of the world's countries and major cities. The maps are nicely done: colorful and easy to read, they inspire map literacy and a desire to see the world.
