Original gilt-decorated cloth shows moderate wear, with light rubbing/bumping at the spine ends; gilt title and figure remain bright and fully legible. Text block shows age-appropriate toning and scattered foxing throughout. Binding is sound and square. Folding map present and complete, with small tear at the binding edge; the map itself is otherwise intact, fully legible, and not missing any sections - still a plus as this ap is frequently missing entirely from surviving copies. Copyright page clean and legible.

Bound in the original decorative green cloth with a gilt figure of a Native American on the spine, this copy retains its complete folding map of the Merrimack Valley, confirmed intact with no tears at the folds. A valuable resource for collectors of New England Americana, Massachusetts and New Hampshire local history, and 19th-century river valley/industrial history.
