Externally Poor to Fair in blind-stamped brown cloth, lettered gilt to spine. Bumping and rubbing to extremities, with loss to both head and tail of backstrip. Signature of Juliet Hart-Davis to the ffep. In 1881 she was involved in a court case against a fraudulent medium who had swindled her out of valuable jewellery. A scarce title, in need of some TLC, but with an interesting association.
