Met With Foul Play: The Plot to Kill Frances Lacey

A 66-year-old mystery solved.

In 1960, on the quiet, car-free streets of Mackinac Island, a 49-year-old woman named Frances Lacey was brutally murdered - and the case went cold. Rumors spread, suspects came and went, and the truth disappeared into history... until now.

This book is a true-crime retelling of that long-forgotten murder, tracing the frantic investigation, the missed clues, and the lives forever changed by a crime no one could explain. Sixty-six years later, I revisited the evidence, uncovered overlooked details, and followed the trail where it finally led.

For the first time, I can answer the question that haunted Mackinac Island for generations: who did it.
