Metabase 101: Everything you need to setup your open source business intelligence system

Chapter 1, Installing Metabase shows you how to install a Metabase using a JAR file, using a Docker container, deploying on Heroku cloud, changing default backend H2 database to Postgres, migrating from the installed H2 to a new Postgres database, adding Oracle & CSV drivers. Chapter 4, Users, Groups and Permissions addresses how to adapt a Metabase to your organization’s hierarchy. You will be guide to create users, groups and permissions based on the pre-defined hierarchy. Compounding with Analytics, Collections and Reports in Chapter 5, you will know how the whole Metabase reporting system works.

Chapter 6, Advanced Metabase helps you with some more difficult techniques like: XRAY, native queries, regional maps, pin maps, data models, data hiding, troubleshooting and multi-instance synchronization.

This book expresses my experience working with Metabase to build complete BI systems for small to medium companies. All the illustrations in the book has been conducted by myself.
