So diente bereits in der Steinzeit er- hitztes Birkenharz zum Kleben von Pfeilschaften, Befestigen von Har- punenspitzen und zum Anfertigen von Rindeneimern. Das Harz wurde aus der Rinde dieses damals weit verbreiteten Baumes gewonnen [3].
