Methodism Condemned

This book is a 19th century critique of Methodism by James Douglas, a North Shields-based author. Douglas condemns Methodism on the grounds that it promotes ignorance and superstition, and he argues that Methodists are prone to falling under the influence of charismatic preachers. Douglas's work provides a fascinating glimpse into the religious landscape of the 19th century, and may be of interest to scholars and religious historians.
