About the Author

Geoffrey Wainwright is the Robert Earl Cushman Professor of Christian Theology in the Divinity School, Duke Universit. Well-known and widely respected in both academic and ecclesial circles, he served from 1977 to 1991 on the Faith and Order Commission of the World Council of Churches.
