Add to basketSalvatore Claudio Fanni is a young radiologist and PhD candidate in Clinical and Translational Sciences at the University of Pisa. He has published several indexed articles and book chapters for international publishers and also edited a book about artificial intelligence. His work has been presented at national and international conferences held in Europe and the USA. His major research interests are quantitative imaging, with a particular focus on radiomics, and Artificial Intelligence and Natural Language Processing applications in Radiology. He is a member of the scientific committee and the Radiomics auditing group of EuSoMII, of the young radiologist committee of ESOI and collaborates with the Imaging Lab in Pisa on many EU projects.
Lorenzo Faggioni currently works as Associate Professor of Radiology at the University of Pisa. He obtained his MD degree (2004), the board certification in Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology (2008), the PhD degree in ‘Health Technologies: evaluation and management of innovations in the biomedical field' (2011), and the Master in Oncologic Imaging (2020) at the same University. He is member of several international societies (ESR, ESOI, EuSoMII, RSNA) and past-president of the Imaging Informatics Council of the Italian Society of Medical and Interventional Radiology (SIRM). His main research interests include imaging informatics (with a special focus on artificial intelligence, radiomics and structured reporting), oncologic and cardiovascular applications of CT and MRI, and optimisation of CT acquisition protocols. To date he is author of more than 100 articles published in indexed journals, more than 200 conference papers and more than 20 book chapters.
Isabella Castiglioni is a Full Professor of Applied Physics at the University of Milan-Bicocca, co-founder and Honorary President of the spin-off of the University Institute for Advanced Studies (Istituto Universitario di Studi Superiori) in Pavia, called DeepTrace Technologies. The startup has been internationally recognized for its work in the field of artificial intelligence (AI) applied to predictive and personalized medicine. In 2017, she was acknowledged as one of the "100 Women Against Stereotypes in Science." In 2021, she won the International Technovisionaries Award and was honored as one of the "50 Most Influential Women in AI in Europe" (Inspyring Fifty). She has an impressive record, including over 80 seminars at international conferences and schools, 180 scientific publications, and 7,000 citations.
Emanuele Neri is Full Professor of Radiology, Chair of Medicine Faculty, Chairman of the Radiology Department at Pisa University Hospital and Chair of the Post-Graduate School of Radiology and Faculty of Diagnostic Imaging of the University of Pisa. He has published more than 170 papers and 6 books in the fields of imaging informatics, GI tract, as well as head and neck and oncologic imaging. He is a member of national and international societies in the field of radiology, past president of the European Society of Oncologic Imaging, leads the Imaging Laboratory of the University of Pisa, and is involved in several EU projects.
