The Metropolitan Police Guide, Seventh Edition, 1922, Being a Compendium of Law Affecting the Metropolitan police; Archibald, WFA; Greenhalgh, JH; Roberts, James; Johnston, JA. His Majesty’s Stationary Office, London; Eyre and Spottiswoode. 6 ½ inches x 9 ¾ inches, Stamped ‘Received for the MLT. Police District, Official Copy. Inscribed with ‘Inspector’s Office Woolwich’, and ‘PS Davies on the first endpaper. Stamped on first pastedown. Stamped with ‘checked’ on the second endpaper. Original binding, black half leather with grey cloth boards. In good condition with a partial crack in the hinges at the second endpaper, rubbing and wear to edges and corners. Spine comprises six compartments, the second and third with title and edition and year respectively. Spine worn on raised bands, with a tear at the top and rubbing to the base. A sheet accompanying the book, ‘E Davies, Det Sergeant, 6.11.43.
