Offering this vintage copy of "Mexico: A Study of Two Americas" by prominent American economist Stuart Chase in collaboration with Marian Tyler, featuring illustrations by the renowned Mexican artist Diego Rivera. New York: The Macmillan Company, 1935, later printing, The Modern Reader' Series. Green cloth hardcover with red stamped letters, original dust jacket, pp. 338, and b/w woodcut illustrations throughout. The book is a landmark socioeconomic travelogue and cultural critique, celebrated for contrasting the self-sufficient, organic lifestyle of rural Mexico with the hectic, industrialized, and consumer-driven "machine age" of the U.S. Overall condition is Very Good. Binding is secure, green cloth covers remain bright with light age toning at edges. Dust jacket has mild toning and wear, and a little chipping at the edges, with a small loss at spine head. Interior is clean and unmarked, free from any tears or creases. A nice copy with the lovely Diego Rivera woodcuts! [C1].
