The plates have all been newly engraved by copper for a sharper image and three new plates have been added and several of the original plates have been re-arranged and improved. One volume extended into two with plates following the end of volume two. 845pp., 48 full page plates (some in color) overleaf with text and 812 woodcuts. A handsome set bound in maroon cloth, spine lettering gilt, edges speckled red, internally clean and bright without foxing, spines faded. An exceptionally nice set. Seller Inventory # 022178
