Cover is solid but worn; some staining. Clear plastic dust jacket. No writing, highlighting, or marks in text.Some water damage but still a very readable copy. Binding tight. B&W drawings throughout. Considering its age (1853) it is in remarkable condition regardless and is better than "acceptable".
