Each chapter covers a major topic and contains a series of separate lessons.

The book first goes through the process of planning for enterprise NT Server deployment, covering the basic domain concepts, network protocols, and file system considerations. Next, the course moves into installation and configuration, including information on client connectivity issues and server roles. The following chapters explain enterprise resources such as users, profiles, security, and shared resources.

A major connectivity chapter covers key networking subjects such as DHCP, DNS, Internet Information Server, and connections to Novell Netware and Remote Access Servers. Later sections instruct how to analyze and optimize both server and network performance. The book finishes with a chapter on troubleshooting that includes discussions of registry entries, boot sequences, and stop screens.
